Pop Club Tribute
| Pop Club was a music making club based at Dorchester Arts, at Dorchester’s Corn Exchange, run by the legendary Mickey Wills. They are ‘a bunch of under 18’s’ that met weekly to play and perform great music together and then do gigs and other shows. Over the years many amazing musicians have come through Pop Club, with some going on to become professional musicians with international careers. Mickey was the biggest inspiration to them, his infectious enthusiasm coupled with his teaching skills and musicianship meant the sessions taught the young people loads about music and were super fun too. Pop Club have performed at Anonymous since 2009 when the event first began and they have been a mainstay of the event. Mickey is no longer with us, but his spirit lives on in all the young people’s lives he has positively impacted. Their performance at Anonymous 2025 is to pay him respect and honour his lasting legacy and will include previous Pop Clubbers of all generations. |

“I’m a passionate performer with a love for music and giving back. I wrote a song that raised a lot of money for charity, which I’m really proud of. I’ve trained in the performing arts and gained great experience touring holiday parks in a Queen tribute band called Kings. I also run a choir in weymouth too. Now, I’m really excited to be touring theatres across the UK next year with a brand new tribute show!” – Maisie.

Ralph Bishop
Ralph Bishop is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist hailing from Dorset, who has spent the last year living in London. Becoming the frontman of a band at just 11-years-old, Ralph developed a reputation for his powerful vocals and impressive guitar work. An accomplished guitarist, currently studying jazz guitar at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Ralph’s musical depth is clear.
His debut single, The Man Without Words, caught the attention of BBC Introducing-earning praise as “musically genius.” Influenced by artists like David Bowie, The Beatles, Queen and The Zombies, Ralph’s musical foundation is a rich mix of classic and modern, jazz and psychedelia, with song writing inspired by lyrical imagery and unusual harmonies. He released his debut album, The Path in November 2024, an album deeply inspired by where he grew up and is excited to return home to play as a solo artist at Anonymous, having played twice before with his band Reddle.
Alfie Evans
My name is Alfie Evans and it’s fair to say I’m an Oasis and Beatles super fan. The reason I got into music was because of Paul McCartney and I base my singing and playing style off Noel Gallagher, playing his replica J-200. Both bands have played a huge part in my life and I have been fortunate enough to see the Gallagher brothers separately and then together this year in Cardiff, as one of the lucky few who got tickets.
Sam Carey
Sam has been DJing for almost four years and was inspired to try after he spent most of the lockdowns listening to mixes whilst studying. Sam enjoys a range of dance music with his favourite artists including Soulwax, Daft Punk, Skrillex and Justice. When he DJ’s he plays a Tech House sound as he enjoys the mixture of the minimal techno beats with house’s groovier aspects and he’s inspired by DJs such as Mau P and Chris Lake.
Tamara
I started singing because it felt like the most honest way to express myself. Over time, it became something I really enjoyed doing. My style leans toward R&B soul and jazz shaped by the kind of music I’ve always connected with that’s quite emotional and real. I’ve been influenced by artists like Beyonce and Adele whose work balance strong vocals with passionate song writing. I’m drawn to music that tells a story and that’s what I aim for in my own music.
Verity
Verity is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Dorchester. She enjoys playing guitar music (a wide range including indie and alternative rock covers, and more recently original songs) and has been singing since she was little. She now hopes to bring new melodies to the ears of Dorchester.
Lola
Hi I’m Lola. I am 13 years old and I love all things music – A little bit of singing, rapping and of course DJing! I live for adrenaline and I have performed at a few festivals such as We Out Here, Cirkular Festival and Street in the Park. I like to mix with a variety of music genres, from Techno house to 90’s classics and I love to create raps about things that are close to my heart. I am super excited to be performing at Anonymous this Summer and I can’t wait to see you there!
